Faculty of Engineering University of Muhammadiyah Semarang (UNIMUS) partnership with University of Malaysia Pahang 2018

Semarang | It cannot be denied, that the use of energy in the world continues to increase from time to time. The increase in world energy consumption that big is not followed by the increase of world energy production. Petroleum which has been the main fuel is expected to run out in recent decades. These predictions and facts really scare the world, the possible energy crisis.

That is what Prof. Dr. Rizalman Mamat, as Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering from University Malaysia Pahang in the Signing MoU & Visiting Professor at Muhammadiyah University of Semarang (UNIMUS). The event was initiated by the Faculty of Engineering of the UNIMUS is the theme of “Optimization of Renewable Energy in Facing the World Energy Crisis” (13/04/2018). The activity is done because it wants to give an overview to the students of Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering study program related to energy supply condition in the world especially in Indonesia so far. “If we can not find new energy as an alternative, we will run out of energy supplies in the future. Therefore let’s make a new energy discovery for human survival, “said the alumni of the University of Birmingham UK.

Also present to give a speech, Dr. RM. Bagus Irawan, S.T., M.Si., IPP. as the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering. That he, conveying Engineering students today should be able to look far ahead. Because the condition of the energy crisis is a big issue in various countries today. The cooperation between the Faculty of Engineering UNIMUS with the University of Malaysia Pahang can be an opportunity between the two sides to share knowledge and resources (students). The signing of the cooperation is related to the learning activities between the two universities. “Students of Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering can study comparative, internship, or working visit at University of Malaysia Pahang, ” he said
