UNIMUS, SEAMOLEC and Sun Moon University Begin Partnership

kerjasama1-660x330University of Muhammadiyah Semarang (UNIMUS) is developing its link through partnership with reputable foreign universities. On 16 January 2015, the Rector Prof. Dr. Djamaluddin Darwis, M.A., accompanied by Chief of International and Cooperation Affairs Office (KUIK)-(ad hoc), Dr. Muhammad Yusuf conducted a visit on the headquarters of SEAMOLEC Regional Open Learning Centre (SEAMOLEC) at the complex of Open University, Pondok Cabe, Tangerang to begin partnership with a university from South Korea. This event was attended by President of Sun Moon University, South Korea, Dr. Sun Jo Hwang who signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Rector of UNIMUS.

In a speech Dr. Sun Jo Hwang said, “We are global oriented and Indonesian student has a great opportunity to join with us“. As stated in the MoU several programmes among the two institutions have been agreed such as (1) Development of joint courses and education kerjasama2programmes (2) Exchange of credits (3) Research collaborations. Another kind of partnership that is possible to realize is seminar and workshop. Furthermore, it is also possible to develop other kinds of partnership that deal with the use of equipments, facilities, and other resources in improving education quality.

The Rector of UNIMUS, Prof. Dr. H. Djamaluddin Darwis, M.A., responded very happily to the partnership that had just been reached, he said “This partnership is a good opportunity for UNIMUS to achieve its mission in the future to be reputable university“. (M. Yusuf)
