UNIMUS- BATAM | In an effort to University of Muhammadiyah Semarang (Unimus) in developing a vision to achieve excellence in the era of global competence, then some time ago Unimus took Batam International University (UIB) to establish international cooperation with several universities abroad
University International Batam was founded in 2000 and is one of the private university in Batam Island who participate in national development efforts in educating the nation. As a University which aims to achieve international standards, the UIB has two principal international program that is for students and lecturers. The programs were implemented in collaboration with several universities abroad such as: America, China, Korea, Thailand, India, Malaysia, Singapore and Switzerland.
The MoU signing was held on (17/03) at the UIB with attended by the Rector UIB, Prof. Dr Handoko Karjantoro, CPA., Vice-Rector I, Mrs. Meiliana, SE., M.Sc., Vice Rector II Teddy Jurnali, M.Sc., and Vice Rector III Hepy Hefri Ariyanto, Se., MM. While Unimus attended by Vice Rector III Dr. Djoko Setyo Hartono W, SE., MM., SH., M.Kn. and International Office Unimus Mr.Muhammad Yusuf, Ph.D.
head of International Office Unimus Mr.Muhammad Yusuf, Ph.D, said that the signing of the MoU is the first step for Unimus to try pioneering collaboration with several universities in Korea. International program which will become the focus of cooperation Unimus ie “Join degree” with overseas universities that will be addressed. Like those pioneered by Unimus tried before with a partnership with Sun Moon University South Korea (read: UNIMUS, SEAMOLEC and Sun Moon University South Korea Cooperation). Hopefully the cooperation that has been initiated by the Office of International Affairs and Cooperation can be a starting point for the development of future Unimus.
