UNIMUS l SEMARANG – Pada hari Selasa 3 Mei 2016, Unimus mengadakan acara General Lecture ‘Possible Collaborative activities between National Taipei University of Technology (NTUT) and University of Muhammadiyah Semarang (Unimus’) yang dihadiri oleh Prof. Dr. Shiao Shing Chen (Dean, Office of International Affairs NTUT) dan Mr. Alan Yen (International Student Section, NTUT) di Ruang Pertemuan 209 Rektorat Unimus. Acara tersebut terdiri dari tiga acara inti yaitu (1) Signing MoU, (2) General Lecture, dan (3) Penawaran LoA Studi Lanjut ke NTUT. yang dibuka oleh Wakil Rektor III Unimus, Drs. Samsudi Rahardjo, ST, MM, MT dan dipandu oleh Kepala KUIK Unimus, Muhammad Yusuf, Ph.D. Unimus yang diwakili oleh Wakil Rektor III Unimus, Drs. Samsudi Rahardjo, ST, MM, MT manandatangani Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) dengan NTUT yang diwakili oleh Prof. Dr. Shiao Shing Chen dan disaksikan oleh para dosen dan mahasiswa. Menurut Wakil Rektor III, kerjasama ini tentu sangat strategis karena NTUT adalah salah satu Universitas terbaik di Taiwan yang didukung ilmu teknologi yang maju, sehingga hal ini akan sangat bermanfaat dalam meningkatkan kualitas individu maupun institusi bagi mahasiswa atau dosen yang berpeluang studi lanjut di NTUT. Dalam presentasinya, Prof Shiao-Shing Chen, menyampaikan bahwa saat ini ada puluhan mahasiswa internasional asal Indonesia yang sedang studi S1, S2, dan S3 di NTUT. Prestasi mereka sangat memuaskan sehingga NTUT pro aktif ke Indonesia menawarkan beasiswa pada para mahasiswa tingkat akhir dan para dosen Unimus guna studi lanjut S2 atau S3 di NTUT. Sebelum acara berakhir, Prof. Dr. Shiao Shing Chen memberikan LoA kepada 4 dosen dan 1 mahasiswa dari Fakultas Teknik Unimus serta 3 mahasiswa dari FBBA Unimus yang siap berangkat studi lanjut di NTUT. Mereka sedang dalam proses pengurusan kelengkapan syarat-syarat beasiswa studi lanjut dari Dikti maupun NTUT. Kepala KUIK, Muhammad Yusuf menyampaikan bahwa rencana kedepan dari hubungan kerjasama U to U ini adalah memperluas program kerjasama seperti students exchange, peneltian kolaborasi bersama, pertukaran dosen, publikasi bersama, dan seminar. UNIMUS- BATAM | In an effort to University of Muhammadiyah Semarang (Unimus) in developing a vision to achieve excellence in the era of global competence, then some time ago Unimus took Batam International University (UIB) to establish international cooperation with several universities abroad University International Batam was founded in 2000 and is one of the private university in Batam Island who participate in national development efforts in educating the nation. As a University which aims to achieve international standards, the UIB has two principal international program that is for students and lecturers. The programs were implemented in collaboration with several universities abroad such as: America, China, Korea, Thailand, India, Malaysia, Singapore and Switzerland. The MoU signing was held on (17/03) at the UIB with attended by the Rector UIB, Prof. Dr Handoko Karjantoro, CPA., Vice-Rector I, Mrs. Meiliana, SE., M.Sc., Vice Rector II Teddy Jurnali, M.Sc., and Vice Rector III Hepy Hefri Ariyanto, Se., MM. While Unimus attended by Vice Rector III Dr. Djoko Setyo Hartono W, SE., MM., SH., M.Kn. and International Office Unimus Mr.Muhammad Yusuf, Ph.D. head of International Office Unimus Mr.Muhammad Yusuf, Ph.D, said that the signing of the MoU is the first step for Unimus to try pioneering collaboration with several universities in Korea. International program which will become the focus of cooperation Unimus ie “Join degree” with overseas universities that will be addressed. Like those pioneered by Unimus tried before with a partnership with Sun Moon University South Korea (read: UNIMUS, SEAMOLEC and Sun Moon University South Korea Cooperation). Hopefully the cooperation that has been initiated by the Office of International Affairs and Cooperation can be a starting point for the development of future Unimus.
