KUIK – Economic Faculty | On 29-30 November 2014, 5 lecturers from Faculty of Economics, University of Muhammadiyah Semarang participated in an international conference held in the Putra Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia with a theme “Sustaining Economic Climates through Business, Economics & Law“. They are Setia Iriyanto, S.E., M.Si., Dr. Hardiwinoto, S.E., M.Si., Andwiani Sinarasri, S.E., M.Si., Setia Budhi Wilardjo, S.E., M.M., and Nurhayati, S.E., M.M. The conference began on 28 November when the participants departed for Kuala Lumpur from Semarang by Air Asia and returned to Indonesia on 1 December 2014 including a transit in Jakarta by Lion Air.
During two-day conference, it began with presentation of results in business, economics, accounting and law research which was held in the morning until afternoon, and was closed with a prize, certificate and souvenir give session. On the second day, a city tour around Malaysia was held. It started with a trip to Putrajaya that is the recent capital of Malaysia Kingdom, and was closed with photo session near Petronas Twin Tower then returned to the Putra Hotel.
It is expected that this conference and publication of international accredited journal can encourage Unimus to hold such event in Semarang as well as develop city tour to promote tourism and introduce Semarang. It is hoped that this occasion can be well developed to improve lecturers` quality particularly those who teach on Faculty of Economics, Unimus
