Taiwan (11/12/2017) At the age of 18, University of Muhammadiyah Semarang, continues to expand its wings to develop cooperation with various leading universities abroad. This is done in the context of the internationalization of institutions. During a 5-day visit to the Republic of China Taiwan (7-11 December 2017), rector of Muhammadiyah University of Semarang, Prof. Dr.Masrukhi, M.Pd, cooperates with 7 leading universities in Taiwan, both a public university and private university. Unimus Rector visited Taiwan, accompanied by a delegation of Muhammadiyah Higher Education led by the Chairman of the Higher Education and Research Council of Muhammadiyah (Prof. Lincolin Arsyad, M.Sc, Ph.D.)
The seven college institutions that cooperate with the Muhammadiyah University of Semarang are the Yuanpei University of Medical Technology, Hung Kuang University, Asia University, Da-Yeh University, National Cheng Kung University, National Taipei University of Nursing and Health Sciences and National Taiwan University of Science and Technology. The cooperation with the seven universities includes academic activities, from exchange students, advanced Ph.D. courses with scholarship facilities, exchange of teaching staff, library or research materials, participation and collaboration in scientific events, student and staff visit, to research collaboration.
Continuing studies at several universities in Taiwan, both master and Ph.D programs are very visible to do. In addition to some types of scholarships, or freelance work, the cost of living in Taiwan is relatively similar to the cost of living in Indonesia. In addition to utilizing Budi scholarships abroad by the Ministry of research, high education technology republic Indonesia, alternative students can access scholarship Taiwan Government Scholarship, or University Scholarship. Of course, a student can only access one of the three types of scholarships.
Opportunities for high-end study in Taiwan are supported by complete learning facilities (Hospital University, Full access library, sports center, etc.) encouraging Unimus, to deliver students and all academic community to get overseas study opportunities and experience. Through cooperation with seven universities in Taiwan, open wide opportunity for students, lecturers, and academic community to develop themselves in order to realize the internationalization Unimus program in accordance with the vision and mission.
