Semarang │ May 12, 2017 Faculty of Medicine and the International Relationship Officer (IRO) of the University of Muhammadiyah Semarang (Unimus) held the International General Lecture “Update on Neuroscience Research from Biomolecular to Clinical Aplication, tips and Trick How to Write Article on International Journal” on Friday, May 12, 2017. In the event taking place in Unimus Medical Laboratory’s Hall, Prof. Irwan Satrioutomo, M.D., Ph.D., a lecturer at the University of Florida, the U.S.A., attended the event as the invited international guest speaker. Also attending the event were the Vice Rector III, (Samsudi Raharjo., M.T., M.M.), Vice Dean I of Unimus Faculty of Medicine (dr. M. Riza Setiawan) and chairperson of the IRO (M. Yusuf., Ph.D.).
At the beginning of his speech, Prof. Irwan Satriotomo explained to the audience about latest researches in Neuroscience. Meanwhile, in the following explanation about “How To Publish Article in International Journal”, Prof. Irwan Satriotomo gave lecture about tips on how to write articles properly in order to get accepted and be published in international journals. As an expert in Neuroscience, an activist in the Indonesian Brain Research Center as well as the winner of a several international awards also shared some tips and tricks with the audience about how to publish articles in international journals.
The International General Lecture was held as one of efforts to build the synergy between campus activities and the university’s mission in accordance with the development of science and academic atmosphere in campus. The event was also provided for Unimus’ academicians, especially lecturers and students, to increase the publications of articles in international journals.
The success of the International General Lecture hopefully can be a reference for Unimus’ academicians to prepare similar events as well as motivate either lecturers or students to be more active in publishing their articles in international journals. It becomes also a way to internalize the efforts of Unimus to become a quality and internationally-recognized university.
