Students and Lecturers of the Faculty of Nursing and Health the Muhammadiyah University of Semarang are again involved in international activities. This time the students and lecturers of Nursing had the opportunity to attend the “Introduction to Chinese Medicine and Cross culture Bioethics” Summer Program Course in Republic of China (Taiwan). The departure of students and lecturers was released by the Vice Rector I, Executive Director of International Office (IRO) Unimus and the academicians.
The program’s Summer Program-Course lasts two weeks from July 17-28, 2017, followed by three nursing students as well as two nursing lecturers. The Summer Program-Course program is organized by the College of Medicine, National Cheng Kung University of Taiwan. Through this activity, students and lecturers are expected to update their knowledge on Chinese Traditional Medicine and Cross culture Bioethics as part of the nursing subject studied in the study program. This activity also became the beginning of cooperation between National Cheng Kung University with the University of Muhammadiyah Semarang.
Further explained by the Secretary of Nursing Studies Program, that this activity is also for Tracer Study and alumni visit working in several clinics in Taiwan as well as exploring opportunities for alumni to work in Taiwan.
On that occasion, the Vice Rector advised that the students remain in the culture, discipline, active in activities, and fulfill their obligations as good Muslims while in Taiwan. “The most important search for science as much as possible, so that when returning to Indonesia can bring useful science, and become an example for students and younger classes to be motivated similar programs”.
Vice Dean I of the Faculty of Health Sciences and Nursing, also conveyed that, within departing students and lecturers to attend the program-Summer Course is one form of efforts to realize one of the points in the vision the Muhammadiyah University of Semarang, which is global perspective. Meanwhile, Vice Dean II, on the occasion also hoped that the activities can be prepared for lecturers of nursing to be able to study further in Taiwan so that the internalization of the “University of Excellence” credo was immediately realized
